25 Things About Me
1. I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico and I went to a bilingual Christian school from kindergarden through High School
2. I now live in Houston, TX with my husband and my two kids, Kael and Kiara
3. I discovered my passion for beauty when I was about 14 years old. I was a fan of Seventeen and I would buy it everytime I came to USA
4. I started my career as a profesional model when I was 17 and my dad was actually who encouraged me
5. I have a degree in International Relations and I worked for the Government of the States for 5 years. I am also a certified Esthetician
6. I bought my first car, newest model when I was 23. It was a mustard Peugeot . I bought it with my own money and I was so proud
7. I was a preemie. I was born at week 24 and I survived. I am a living miracle
8. When I was 10 years old, I took my first missions trip to Spain with a group of schoolmates. I had the chance to tell my testimony of how I was born. That’s when my passion to serve God and my love for people started
9. I volunteered every single summer for 10 years as a translator for american missionaries who came to my country. We would visit the poorest areas and help paint homes, bring them food and tell them about the love of Christ
10. I am the daughter of Pastors who have taught me to love, to give and to serve
11. I have 3 beautiful older sisters and a very handsome younger brother (I am number 4) and I loved growing up in a big family
12. At a point in my life, I had 3 jobs (not because I needed to but because I’ve always been a hustler haha!): I was the executive assistant of the Governor’s financial assesor, I was a Model and also a Makeup and Hair Artist
13. When I was 25, I quit my job at the Government to focus on my business “Pretty Faces” which later on also became a Model Agency
14. In 2014, while on a trip to NYC, the project to start my own makeup label started. Now known as #MelonCosmetics
15. As a little girl I was a gymnastic and a ballerina and I wanted to be a Veterinarian
16. I won a Beauty Pageant when I was 17
17. I know how to play almost every sport (thanks to my dad who’s an amazing athlete) but I rather do yoga and aereal dance
18. My mom was the first one who taught me everything about beauty (and how it first starts on the inside). She would say: “Always present yourself the best way posible, no matter where you go”
19. When I was 7 years old, I won a Talent Show singing “Give them all to Jesus”
20. I have been a part of the music ministry at church singing with my husband and I have also been a part of the Women’s Ministry
21. I have only dated one man. He later became my husband (he’s been my first and only kiss too... LUCKY DUDE!)
22. I married at 24, had my first baby at 27 and my second at 32. I always said I’d have 4 babies: 2 boys and 2 girls. I still have 2 to go lol!!
23. I always dreamed about living in the States (I was just so taken by those missionaries, how generous and loving they were. I also had the chance to visit them so I fell in love with USA). That dream came true 7 years ago
24. I would like to write a book someday
25. My life motto is: “You reap what you sow”. And I have seen it become a reality in my life and around me. ALWAYS.
25 Cosas que probablemente no sabías de mi
1. Nací y crecí en Monterrey, México y estudié en una escuela Cristiana bilingüe desde el kinder hasta la prepa
2. Ahora vivo en Houston, TX con mi esposo y mis dos hijos, Kael y Kiara
3. Descubrí mi pasión por la belleza cuando tenía aproximadamente 14 años porque era fan de la revista Seventeen y la compraba cada que iba a Estados Unidos
4. Inicié mi carrera como modelo profesional cuando tenía 17 años y mi papá fue quien me implusó a hacerlo
5. Soy Licenciada en Relaciones Internacionales y trabajé por 5 años para el Gobierno del Estado de NL. También estudié la carrera de Belleza
6. Compré mi primer carro de agencia, nuevecito a los 23 años con mi propio dinero. Era un Peugeot color mostaza y me sentía soñada
7. Fuí una bebita prematura que sobrevivió. Nací a los 5 meses y medio (aproximadamente de 24 semanas). Soy un milagro viviente
8. Cuando tenía 10 años fui a un viaje misionero a España con un grupo de compañeros del Colegio, donde les conté del milagro de mi nacimiento. Ahí comenzó mi pasión por servir a Dios y mi amor por las personas
9. Voluntarié como traductora para misioneros americanos todos los veranos desde los 10 años hasta los 20. Visitábamos lugares muy humildes donde ayudabamos a pintar casas, llevar comida y hablarles del amor de Dios
10. Soy hija de Pastores quienes me han enseñado a amar, a dar y a servir
11. Tengo 3 hermosas hermanas mayores y un guapísimo hermano menor (yo soy la cuarta) y me encantó crecer en una familia grande
12. Por un tiempo de mi vida, tuve 3 trabajos: Fuí la asistente del Asesor del Gobernador, Modelo y también Makeup & Hair Artist.
13. A los 25 años renuncié a Gobierno para enfocarme a mi negocio de belleza “Pretty Faces” que también se convirtió en una Agencia de Modelos
14. En el 2014 en un viaje a NY comenzó el proyecto de tener mi propia línea de cosmeticos que ahora es #MelonCosmetics
15. De chiquita fui gymnasta y bailarina y quería ser Veterinaria
16. Fui Señorita Politicas en la Carrera (no me juzguen jaja!)
17. Se jugar casi todos los deportes (gracias a mi papá que es super atlético) pero prefiero el yoga y la danza aérea
18. Mi mamá fue quien me enseñó a cuidar mi imagen (no solo por dentro -que es la más importante- sino también por fuera). “Siempre arregladita a dónde vayas”, me decía
19. Cuando tenía 7 años gané un concurso de Talentos cantando “Give them all to Jesus”
20. He servido en la iglesia junto con mi Esposo cantando con el grupo de Alabanza y en el ministerio de Mujeres
21. Solamente he tenido un novio en mi vida y después se convirtió en mi esposo (también ha sido mi primer y mi único beso. SUERTUDOTE!)
22. Me casé a los 24, tuve mi primer hijo a los 27 y mi segunda a los 32. Siempre dije que quería 4 hijos: 2 niños y 2 niñas. Ya nomás me faltan 2 jaja!!
23. Siempré soñé con vivir en Estados Unidos (me impresioné de la generosidad de la gente y su amor por servir cuando voluntariaba los veranos y viajé a varios lugares para visitar a los amigos misioneros que hice) y hace 7 años se hizo realidad
24. Quisiéra escribir un libro algún día
25. Mi lema de vida es: “Lo que siembras, tarde que temprano, cosechas”. Y lo he visto cumplirse siempre. SIEMPRE.
