Mely’s passion for writing started since she was 9 years old when she got her first diary. Then in 2006 her Wedding website became the go-to place for soon-to be-brides and fashionistas after a renown Magazine published her Love Story. People were drawn in by her style and down-to-earth personality. Mely has shared her outfits, her travels, her beauty tips as well as her victories and struggles. She’s been an open book since and her audience have enjoyed seen her grown through the years.

Mely’s vision for business, and boss-babe-mind pushed her to pursue her dreams. She ran a Makeup & Hair Artistry company for over 15 years and now is focused on her other business ventures.
Mely owns Melon Cosmetics, a high-end, professional makeup line formulated in the labs of NYC. Created for TV, film and the fashion industry, but also for anybody who's looking for that perfect look.
She is also the CEO of All Things Fashion Box, a clothing rental subscription box powered by Haverdash, where she curates the most stylish looks from hundreds of brands
breast cancer survivor & advocate
In December of 2021 Mely was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She fought her fight so openly on her social channels, she inspired many with her strength and grace. She is now a survivor and thriver and an advocate.
Mely just launched her collaboration with Dillard’s where she designed her dream dress and shoes with Antonio Milani for Breast Cancer Capsule. Portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pink Agenda — a non profit Organization that supports young professionals through their breast cancer journey.
This was a huge dream come true for Mely because she always wanted to be a fashion designer!

Mely became a professional model at 16. Her experience in front of the cameras has allowed her to produce beautiful, organic content. She’s done it all, from runways to photoshoots, to TV and magazine covers!
